Free Artist Talk: Meet the 2023 Robinson Fellow David Smith

Join us in the main gallery at the Ocean City Art League, for a FREE artist talk and welcome our 2023 Orem & Harriet Robinson Fellow for Contemporary Art and Community Engagement: David Smith! Learn more about his artwork, experience, and plans for the year ahead. Free and open to the public.
Smith received his MFA in ceramics from LSU and is currently Associate Professor in the Art Department at Salisbury University. Primarily a sculptor and a mold-maker, he explores how translucent porcelain and light depict form and surface, and re-contextualize familiar objects, like snake skin or crab claws, playing with contradictions and absurdity.
